Editor-in-Chief

Mohamed Okash is SIMAD University’s Editor-in-chief of Somali Business Review. Mr. Okash is a researcher, development strategist, and ecosystem builder. His work focuses on innovations, and development by shaping the public policies to address complex local and global challenges. He is a highly sought as a professional speaker, analyst and mentor who is excellent in working with people to achieve their God-given potentials. Mr. Okash is the head of  the Innovations of SIMAD iLab, SIMAD Universirty in Mogadishu where he focuses on designing social innovation programs, mentoring young people to build successful and sustainable social enterprises, and help MSMEs to maximize their full potential.

Okash has a strong passion for creating social impact and building bridges that intersects the public, private and civil society organization for impact. He is Young and Emerging Leadership Project fellow of the LéO Africa Institute and the Valediction of the class of 2019, impact officer at global shaper community, Mogadishu hub and, and Climate Reality Leader. Mohamed Okash holds an MA in Development Studies at Kampala International University, BA in Public Administration at SIMAD University.
